Top Five Blogging Experts and What Makes Them Experts
Starting a blog that makes money is new to me. There are a lot of blogging experts out there and everyone is looking for someone to teach them how to do it right.
When you’re first starting out and you don’t have any money, you need to know who can teach what it takes to make money. Blogging is one of the easiest ways to get started.
Like many of you, I have been blogging on and off for a few years. Over that time, I have discovered some amazing people who have taught me a lot. I decided I should share some of my favorite resources, my favorite top five blogging experts. These five are among a number of amazing professional bloggers.
There are a number of top blogging experts out there. Both men and women are making enormous amounts of money online through their blogs. What makes them experts?
I consider a blogging expert and someone who is worth in the seven figures. Most important they’ve made their money blogging. All run more than one blog, have a podcast, sell books and courses, and almost all have a youtube channel, Instagram account, Facebook page, and more.
It’s not about the money. Its about the freedom this money can give you. With the ability to work from anywhere and make money doing it, you have the freedom to go where you want, live where you want, and generate money whenever you want.
My Favorite Blogging Experts
As a 63 year old grandmother, and frustrated writer, I chose the following professional bloggers who have figured it out. If you’re looking for guidance on who to follow, these are five people I recommend you at least check out.
Darren Rowse at Problogger
Darren runs a few sites, but teaches people everything they need to know about blogging at his site Problogger. Although Darren makes money selling books and courses at Problogger, he started it as a side gig while working on a site teaching people all about digital photography. Since then, he’s become one of the top ten blogging experts. Darren offers a lot of free information and great articles. Darren doesn’t share how much he makes, but he occasionally tells you about how he’s making money.
Pat Flynn at Smart Passive Income
Pat got laid off at his architect job. With being a newlywed and just starting a family, he had to figure out how to make money. His first site was about teaching people how to become security guards, offering a book and learning course that would help you get certified. Pat started to share and blog about his struggle to build that site and along the way figured out how to make a great income. That’s how Smart Passive Income was conceived. Pat now averages $150,000 a month in income, yes per month. He also shares his monthly income reports.
John Chow at John Chow
John Chow makes money blogging about how he makes money blogging. You can follow his story about when he arrived in Canada and failed at many regular jobs. He is one of the guys who made money and then crashed for a couple years. Now worth well over $4 million, John has an amazing following and really understands this industry from the very beginning. You can follow him at his website, youtube channel, instagram and more.
Jeremy Shoemaker at Shoemoney
Jeremy Shoemaker offers great articles and training at Shoemoney. If you’re looking for some tough love, Jeremy is the guy who will give it to you straight. Jeremy is truly a rags to riches story. You can read all about it on his about me page on Shoemoney. Now worth over $10 million, his story is truly inspirational. He will give you tons of information for free.
Michelle Schroeder-Gardner of Making Sense of Cents
Michelle started her blog because she had over $40,000 in student loan debt. Her site is a bit different in that she’s a professional blogger who made just under $1 million last year. Michelle’s blog focuses on making money through online job sites and more. It helped her pay off her student loan debt, and now she and her husband live in the RV and travel everywhere the wind blows them.
There are at least 100 top bloggers who make seven figures. Some of them have been working at their blogs for a number of years. Michelle has only been blogging for not quite five years. So from zero to $1 million a year in five years is a major accomplishment.
I hope this inspires you to go out and start your own blog.
